What is Lighthouse Christian Camp?
LCC is a campground and cottage community that exists to provide spiritual inspiration,
relaxation, recreation, and fellowship in a nurturing Christian environment, ideal for families or large groups. Open for operation from May 1st to October 31st, LCC runs three organized camps each summer.
Where is it?
Located along the idyllic shores of Lake Ontario, LCC is just inside the western Niagara County border next to Golden Hill State Park, the home of 30 Mile Point Lighthouse.
Who can come?
Although LCC is a part of the Free Methodist Church, our grounds and rental facilities are open to everyone! All we ask is that you follow the few simple rules that are in place to ensure a positive and rejuvenating experience for
everyone.
You have rental facilities?
Several cottage-style lodges, motel/suite units and rustic cabins are available for rent at any time during the summer. Sites for RVs, campers, and tents are located along fifth street and the lake. Large group facilities, including our new
dining hall, are ideal for retreats, weddings,
family reunions, and picnics, among others.
What are your organized camps?
Family Camp, Keen Kamp, & Getaway Camp are the three organized camps that LCC runs during the summer. Visit their tabs under Camps/Programs on the navigation bar above or see the specific FAQ about each below.
Are there Sunday Services?
Yes! Different speakers and pastors from area churches, many from Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary, come in every Sunday for a morning worship service. Services take place at 10:30am from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year.
Anything else I should know?
An annual golf tournament fundraiser occurs on the first Saturday of August every year at a nearby country club. Greens fees, a golf cart, continental breakfast, lunch, a buffet dinner, awards, and a tax deductable gift to LCC camp improvement projects are included in the $90 golfer registration fee.
Who should I contact about rental housing?
Call the office at 716-795-3216 or email us at lighthousecamp@lighthousechristiancamp.org.
What's Family Camp?
Family Camp, which is typically 4th of July week, draws just under 700 people every year. The highlight of many summers, Family Camp is a busy time filled with morning chapel, classes, afternoon activities, a daily evening service, and afterglows. Programming is geared toward every age, and more than half the population is under 17.
What is Keen Kamp?
Keen Kamp, during late July/early August, is for the young at heart, or 50+ years of age. Morning sessions with the keynote speaker, breakout groups, sports, crafts, meals, evening services and afterglows are high points of the week. 150-200 people attend Keen Kamp every year.
What's Getaway Camp?
Getaway Camp, new to LCC in 2004, was created as an additional week for families to learn and fellowship together. Far more laid back than Family Camp, Getaway has a more intimate and personal atmosphere. Morning classes are broken down by age, and the evening service of the Family and Keen Camps is replaced by a nightly family activity. Getaway Camp has grown from 50 to 170 people since 2004, and continues to attract families of every age.
