As you will see in the latest group of pictures, work continues on the building. The work being done is in details that you need to look more closely to see progress.
Soffits and facias have been installed. Roofs have been installed on the bump outs on 3 sides of the building. This gives you a better look at the details of the building.
The replacement windows that were to arrive on Tuesday are not there yet, however it appears they have been manufactured and may ship today and arrive Monday.
With the scaffolds out of the inside, the place looks even more massive and it gives you a real sense of excitement visualizing what this will do for the ministry of LCC for years to come.
Weather becomes more of a factor in the progress of the project these days, wind, wind chill, rain, snow. Pray that there will be more good days than bad in the next couple of weeks. We need dry and reasonably calm days to put the long roof panels in place safely. Some of them are about 40 ft long. The installation of the sidewalls can tolerate more severity in the weather.
Unless we encounter some extended blizzard conditions, the expectation is that the siding and roofing will be complete before the end of the month. As each side gets completed, the site work contractor will come back in and shape the swales and install the DI's and storm sewers per the site plan.
If some of this work extends past year end, the projected completion of work for Memorial Day still can be completed on time.
I am finding that there may be some volunteer help available in January. If that works out we will begin the installation of the insulation in the ceiling of the building.
Continue your prayers for the safety of the crew and for cooperating weather conditions.
